The Better Wellbeing System is a health and wellbeing provision set up by Claire Robilliard based in Brighton & Hove, UK

The business is run by Claire Robilliard and Sean Newton with IT support from Starfish Ltd.

What is this Privacy Policy for?

This privacy policy is for the ‘website’ owned by Claire Robilliard and served by The Better Wellbeing System (‘We’ – Claire Robilliard and Sean Newton). We are dedicated to keeping your details private. Any information that we collect in relation to you is secured.

The policy sets out the different areas where user privacy is concerned and outlines the obligations & requirements of the users, The Better Wellbeing System and The Better Wellbeing System owners. The Better Wellbeing System and its owners take a proactive approach to user privacy and ensure the necessary steps are taken to protect the privacy of its users throughout their visiting experience. The Better Wellbeing System complies to all UK national laws and requirements for user privacy.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. The Better Wellbeing System requires this information to help us process and manage your request.

You can use the online forms for a number of purposes such as to request further information about other products and services provided by The Better Wellbeing System. The Better Wellbeing System will not use sensitive information for Direct Marketing or pass onto to third parties without your prior consent.


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Use of Cookies

The Better Wellbeing System uses cookies to better the users experience while visiting the website. Where applicable The Better Wellbeing System uses a cookie control system allowing the user on their first visit to the Better Wellbeing System to allow or disallow the use of cookies on their computer / device. This complies with recent legislation requirements for The Better Wellbeing System to obtain explicit consent from users before leaving behind or reading files such as cookies on a user’s computer / device.

The Better Wellbeing System also uses tracking software to monitor its visitors to better understand how they use it. This software is provided by Google Analytics which uses cookies to track visitor usage. The software will save a cookie to your computer hard drive in order to track and monitor your engagement and usage of the Better Wellbeing System, but will not store, save or collect personal information. Other cookies may be stored to your computer hard drive by external vendors if  The Better Wellbeing System were to use referral programs, sponsored links or adverts. No personal information is stored, saved or collected.Such cookies are used for conversion and referral tracking and typically expire after 30 days.

Contact & Communication

Users contacting The Better Wellbeing System and/or its owners do so at their own discretion and provide any such personal details requested at their own risk. Your personal information is kept private and stored securely until a time it is no longer required or has no use, as detailed in the Data Protection Act 1998. Every effort has been made to ensure a safe and secure form to email submission process but advise users using such form to email processes that they do so at their own risk.

The Better Wellbeing System and its owners use  information submitted to provide you with further information about the products / services they offer or to assist you in answering any questions or queries you may have submitted. This includes using your details to subscribe you to any email newsletter program The Better Wellbeing System operates but only if this was made clear to you and your express permission was granted when submitting any form to email process. Or whereby you the consumer have previously purchased from or enquired about purchasing from the company a product or service that the email newsletter relates to. This is by no means an entire list of your user rights in regard to receiving email marketing material. Your details are not passed on to any third parties.

Email Newsletter

The Better Wellbeing System operates an email newsletter program, used to inform subscribers about products and services supplied by The Better Wellbeing System. Users can subscribe through an online automated process should they wish to do so but do so at their own discretion. Some subscriptions may be manually processed through prior written agreement with the user.

Subscriptions are taken in compliance with UK Spam Laws detailed in the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003. All personal details relating to subscriptions are held securely and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. No personal details are passed on to third parties nor shared with companies / people outside of the company that operates The Better Wellbeing System. Under the Data Protection Act 1998 you may request a copy of personal information held about you by The Better Wellbeing System’s email newsletter program. A small fee will be payable. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please contact us.

Email marketing campaigns published by The Better Wellbeing System or its owners may contain tracking facilities within the actual email. Subscriber activity is tracked and stored in a database for future analysis and evaluation. Such tracked activity may include; the opening of emails, forwarding of emails, the clicking of links within the email content, times, dates and frequency of activity [this is by no far a comprehensive list].
This information is used to refine future email campaigns and supply the user with more relevant content based around their activity.

The Better Wellbeing System may also conduct voluntary surveys or request other voluntary information from time to time. These surveys provide The Better Wellbeing System with important information that enables improvement in the types and quality of services offered and the manner in which those services are offered.


In compliance with UK Spam Laws and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 subscribers are given the opportunity to un-subscribe at any time through an automated system. How we protect your data

Your data can only be accessed by the administrators of The Better wellbeing Website via log in and protected password used by Claire Robilliard.

The owners of The Better Wellbeing System cannot guarantee or verify the contents of any external links such as YouTube or Facebook despite their best efforts. Who on our team has access

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

  • Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.

What we share with others


We accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

We keep contact form entries, analytics records and customer purchase records for 10 years or untill requested for deletion.

The Better Wellbeing System nor its owners will ever ask for personal or sensitive information through social media platforms and encourage users wishing to discuss sensitive details to contact them through primary communication channels such as by telephone or email.

The Better Wellbeing System may use social sharing buttons which help share web content directly from web pages to the social media platform in question. Users are advised before using such social sharing buttons that they do so at their own discretion and note that the social media platform may track and save your request to share a web page respectively through your social media platform account.

Despite the best efforts to ensure only genuine urls are published many social media platforms are prone to spam and hacking and therefore The Better Wellbeing System and its owners cannot be held liable for any damages or implications caused by visiting any shortened links.
