“I had a great facial done by Claire: I liked that she described along the way what she was doing to my face and why, it made me feel involved and fully part of the process. My skin is usually very sensitive and I also suffer from rosacea so I was quite impressed that Claire managed to do so much without me turning red or feeling uncomfortable; that is definitely a tribute to her skills.”

Client review

“My skin was not feeling good and I needed a facial desperately but was too busy! What a superb experience. My skin is much better and routine has also improved as a result.”

Client

I had the most relaxing and informative facial with Claire. She diagnosed my skin down to a T and used really lovely organic products which left my skin nourished and glowing.

A British designed unique 3D massage system.

A warm water supported system that enables you to receive a supine massage with remarkable results!

Hydrotherm Explained

Hydrotherm is a British design, and is the only massage system in the world that enables you to receive a supine massage 3-dimensionally supported with warm water cushions. Claire adds tailored Aromatherapy blends to your treatment along with an intuitiveness in her routine ʻshe just knows where you need her to work!ʼ

Who do I treat?

There is a pretty simple answer to this ʻeverybodyʼ can receive a Hydrotherm treatment as it will be adapted to suit your needs. However, Claire is focussing upon Pregnancy to take the fear out of treating pregnant women in all stages of pregnancy, before and after. Other particular clients who have benefited from Claireʼs treatment are those with M.E., Arthritis, Hyper-mobility and Hip Dysplasia. Claire is also happy to offer massage to those who are terminally ill to nurture and support.

Even every facial with Claire takes place on the Hydrotherm too, offering support, comfort and inducing a greater relaxation.

*Allow 3-6 months of natural healing following surgery.

“Can’t recommend Claire enough, her hydrotherm massages are not just healing for the body but also for the soul. You come away feeling lighter physically and emotionally and you really understand the importance of taking care of yourself. You really are in healing hands and with a therapist who cares about each individual she meets; their story, their feelings and their body. Thank you so much Claire.”

Who designed the Hydrotherm system?

Creator of this simple yet amazing system is John Holman. John began his therapy career in 1990 graduating from the London College of massage and the London College of sports massage in 1992; this was followed by further qualifications in fitness training, weight lifting, Sports therapy, Holistic and Ayurvedic massage.

John continues his love of massage therapy at his very successful clinic in Thame Oxfordshire where his clients book anything up to a year in advance for their treatments. With a unique ability in explaining some of the bodyʼs complex musculo-skeletal systems, therapists become inspired to learn more about the value and rewards that accompany the comprehension of applied anatomy.

In 1992 John invented the Hydrotherm Therapy System; designed originally to solve the problem of wrist and lower back pain for the therapist, but is now also considered to be one of the Worldʼs most unique, versatile and effective massage tools! Find out more here.

Pregnancy therapies

Support and assistance dealing with your pregnancy in a safe and understanding way.

Taking time out to focus on yourself and your baby for a moment is incredibly valuable to truly connect with this magical time.

Your Pregnancy

Hydrotherm massage is safe during all stages of pregnancy and will keep you calm in the time leading up to becoming pregnant and ease post-contraction discomfort following the birth of your baby. Claire appreciates the very changes your experiencing in all three trimesters first hand but also through her experience of massaging pregnant women in her clinics.

Trimester 1 (0-12 weeks)

Emotions around falling pregnant whether planned or unplanned and getting a connection with your baby and being in the moment. Fatigue and nausea – Aromatherapy blends will be integral at this stage

Trimester 2 (12-24 weeks)

Visible physical changes as your baby grows and getting used to baby movements. Fatigue and nausea tend to ease off for some so we work in the ʻbloomingʼ phase and maximise those feelings while others will need further support especially in second pregnancies onwards as the fatigue can last throughout. Broad Ligament Pain causing pain into the buttocks is often experienced at this stage.

Trimester 3 (24-40 weeks)

Braxton Hicks can be frustrating for some as these are false labour signs and expel alot of mental energy as you realise its a false alarm! Further physical changes and it is harder to move around, becoming breathless more easily and often a second phase of fatigue. Leg Oedema – massage therapists are able to treat non-pitting Oedema. Round Ligament Pain causing pain into the groin and thigh is common in this last trimester.

“Claire is highly skilled in delivering the treatment with the welcome addition of organic essential oils. Her empathy, intuition, experience, and attention to detail with clients doesn’t go unnoticed.”
